Round Rules

99xo Tongits Go Card Dealing Round

Tongits Go is a three-player card game using a standard 52-card deck. At the start, the dealer deals 12 or 13 cards to each player — the dealer gets one extra card. The remaining cards are placed face-down as the draw pile, and one card is turned face-up to start the discard pile.

On each turn, a player draws one card from the deck or takes the top card from the discard pile. They then discard one card from their hand. The goal is to arrange cards into sets (same rank, different suits) or runs (consecutive cards of the same suit, minimum three cards). Once a melded combination is formed, it can be laid face-up on the table.

A round can end in three ways: a player declares Tongits (empties their hand completely), a draw is called when the deck runs out, or someone calls Cho! as a challenge — the player with the fewest points in their hand wins. Each unmelded card's value is added up to determine the losing score, so the more melded cards in hand, the lower the risk.

Hand Rankings and Scoring

In Tongits Go, the strength of a hand depends on the number of melded combinations and the total value of unmelded cards. See the main combinations and their values in the table below.

# Combination Description Strength
1 Tongits All cards in hand melded — zero unmelded cards Highest
2 Secret Tongits on the first draw — rare and carries a special reward Special
3 Run / Sequence At least 3 consecutive cards of the same suit (e.g. ♠ 4-5-6) Medium
4 Set / Three of a Kind 3 cards of the same rank in different suits (e.g. ♠Q ♥Q ♦Q) Medium
5 Four of a Kind Four cards of the same rank — complete across all four suits High
6 Unmelded Cards (Dead Cards) Could not be placed in any combination — each card's value is added to the score Weak

Face cards (J, Q, K) are each worth 10 points, and Ace is worth 1 point. At the end of a round, the player with the lowest total unmelded card value wins — a player who calls Tongits wins outright.

Against the Dealer or Against Other Players?

Multiplayer Table

Tongits Go is played primarily against three human players — there is no fixed house dealer to beat. In each round, all three players compete against one another. JILI's Tongits Go offers a live table simulation online with real players, so every round is unique.

The Dealer's Role

The dealer or banker position rotates — the dealer may change each round. The dealer receives one extra card compared to the others, so holding the dealer position is a slight advantage. The game does not run on a direct casino-versus-player model — it is fundamentally peer-based competition.

This peer-based structure sets Tongits Go apart from other table games at 99xo Casino — here, your skill and focus are your main tools.

Useful Tips for Beginners

Tongits Go may seem complex at first, but keeping a few key points in mind will help you do well from the start.

  • Lay down melded cards quickly — the sooner you place sets and runs on the table, the lower your risk from unmelded card points.
  • Discard high-value cards early — do not hold on to cards that cannot fit into any combination; discard face cards quickly.
  • Watch your opponents' discards — use what they throw away to read the type of hand they are building, and avoid picking up cards that help them.
  • Know when to call Cho! — make sure your total unmelded points are truly the lowest before calling; a wrong Cho call can result in a penalty.
  • Plan before the deck runs out — as cards in the deck get low, shift focus from attempting Tongits to ending the round with fewer points.
  • Start with small bets — as a beginner, practice at minimum-bet tables; once you understand the rhythm of the game, increase your bets.

Table Etiquette and Session Management

99xo Tongits Go Table Etiquette and Sessions

Following a few simple etiquette rules while playing Tongits Go online keeps the experience good for everyone. Avoiding negative comments about opponents, making decisions quickly on your turn, and keeping chat usage moderate — these are all part of good table culture.

For session management, set a budget in advance and stay within that limit. Instead of playing for long stretches at a time, take short breaks — a clear head leads to fewer mistakes. If you lose several rounds in a row, taking a break is the sensible choice.

Time Limit

Set a time limit for each session and stop playing when it runs out.

Budget Control

Decide the maximum amount you are willing to lose in a round before you start — do not go beyond that limit.

Positive Attitude

Accept both wins and losses as a normal part of the game; do not increase your bets out of emotion.

Responsibility

Read the responsible gaming guidelines and contact 24/7 support if you have any concerns.

FAQ — Tongits Go

Tongits Go was developed by JILI. JILI is a developer known for card and casino games across the Asia-Pacific region. At 99xo, this game is available in JILI's official version.

Tongits is when a player melds all the cards in their hand, leaving it completely empty — that is a direct win. Cho is a challenge: any player can call Cho, after which all three players' unmelded card points are compared; the player with the lowest points wins the round. However, calling Cho incorrectly results in a penalty.

If a player can achieve Tongits using only the cards dealt at the very start — before the first draw, meaning the hand is completely melded right at the beginning of the game — that is called a Secret. It is extremely rare and usually carries a special reward.

In Tongits Go, each table has exactly three players. This is the core structure of the game — it is not played with two or four players. At 99xo, you can play at a three-seat table with real online players.

The most common mistake for new players is holding on to high-value unmelded cards (such as K, Q, J) for too long. If these cards are not melded, they add up as large points at the end of the round. So discarding these cards quickly and trying to form runs or sets with lower-value cards is the smarter approach.
